Classrooms can be very noisy places! Couple that with the common lack of soft furnishings such as carpets or curtains, and the noise is magnified several times over, bouncing around the space and echoing causing a loud and distracting environment. 

Echoes, also known as reverberation, is what happens when sound hits a hard surface and bounces back into the room. This can happen over and over as the sound continues to bounce around the space. When you have several sources producing noise (ie. a classroom full of children!) the resulting cacophony can be incredibly disruptive. Acoustic wall panels are designed specifically to help reduce this reverberation of sound - their effectiveness is measured using an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) number. This is a reflection of how much sound acoustic products can absorb - where 0 is low and 1 is high. The NRC for our acoustic wall panels is 0.43.

Our CARRERA™ panels are round, and available in two different sizes: 400mm or 600mm in diameter. The tiles are manufactured with a board core that’s covered with a layer of insulating foam 18mm thick and finished with a choice of fire-rated fabric (either MacFlex 182 or Camira Era) in a range of colour options. They are easy to attach to the wall with either keyhole brackets or 3M Command™️ Strips. The 3M Command™️ Strips provide more flexibility when choosing your layout and do not damage the walls if you wish to remove or reconfigure the design. 

To maximise the effect of acoustic panels in a classroom or school hall, we recommend 15-20% room coverage using sound-absorbing tiles of the same shape or colour; or you can use different styles and hues to create a striking piece of colourful wall art that also performs a practical function.

Dispatched within 7-10 days (larger orders may take longer).

Please Note: Delivery is to ground floor only. All protective packaging needs to be disposed of / recycled by the recipient. Our delivery drivers cannot take waste packaging. Large quantities of Office Partitions may be delivered on a pallet which is curbside delivery only. Unpacking, pallet disposal and moving of Partitions cannot be undertaken by our drivers.
